Description

Domestic apples are native to Central Asia and Afghanistan but is grown in many places now. They are part of the rose family and produce edible fruit. As seed grown trees, they will have variations in the apples. They are a great option for feeding deer and other wildlife. Apple varieties that are cultivated use root stock and they are grafted, producing a consistent fruit.

Flowers on an apple tree are usually white in color with a pink tinge, which fades out over time. The flowers are 1 – 3″ in size, with 4-5 petals, showy spring bloom time. Leaves on the domestic apple are alternately arranges, elliptical, serrated and 3-6″ long. Bark on the domestic apple is light gray and smooth.
